Mary Lee
Chair, Australasian Association of Histology and Histotechnology and Histology Group of WA
Mary Lee is the Chairperson of both the Histology Group of Western Australia and the Australasian Association of Histology & Histotechnology.
Mary’s extensive career at the University of Western Australia (UWA) has led her to the position of Histology Manager of CELLCentral, within the Cell Biology & Imaging Research Infrastructure Platform (RIP). She is a graduate of UWA completing a Bachelor of Science degree and has also completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Technology from Curtin University.
Her main role at CELLCentral is to provide expert technical consultation and support in the areas of research for the University of Western Australia community. In addition CELLCentral operates as a commercial laboratory undertaking contracts with a vast number of clients. Research projects have been very diverse including in the areas of forensics, primary industry and medical surgery.

Michael Bushe-Jones
Vice Chair, Australasian Association of Histology and Histotechnology and Histology Group of WA
Michael Bushe-Jones is the Senior Dissectionist at Australian Clinical Labs in Subiaco. He completed his Bachelor in Medical Science at Curtin University in 2004 and has worked in histopathology laboratories since holding senior positions in management, immunohistochemistry and surgical dissection.
After developing an interest in complex cut-up he pursued further training and completed his Master of Laboratory Medicine (Anatomical pathology) at UWA in 2016. Michael has a keen interest in education, doing regular sessional work at Curtin and Murdoch Universities and sitting on the Course Review Commitee at Murdoch.
He was a founding member of the HGWA and AAHH committees, current HGWA vice chair and member of the RCPA cut-up course working group.
